Kubb is a Swedish lawn game possibly dating back to days of Viking conquest. More practically, you’ll learn kubb is a game played between two teams attempting to knock over the opposition’s kubbs and finally the king to win the game

Environment:
“When it comes to the Marquette plaza and Kubb, I would compare the experience to baseball at wrigley field, basketball at the garden, football on the frozen tundra. Some places just have a sense of being the perfect setting for certain activities. The Plaza is that place for Kubb in my mind. You can’t beat the the overlook of a building smiling down on you to justify that at that moment you are doing exactly what you should be doing.”
-Grant Scott. 2014 U.S. National Champion.
