June 20, 2013, Thursday - Gay Pride: Gen Silent Screening and Panel Discussion at the Central Library

Time: 7:00pm–9:00pm

Location: Central Library, Pohlad Hall, 300 Nicollet Mall

Register Online or call 612-543-8000.

This critically acclaimed film documents how oppression in the years before Stonewall affects LGBT seniors today. It puts a face on what experts in the film call an epidemic: lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender elders so afraid of discrimination by caregivers or bullying by other seniors that many simply go back into the closet to survive in the care system. A panel discussion will follow the screening.

This project is funded with money from Minnesota's Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
