PRODUCE PLANNER: Asparagus, arugula, baby beets, baby bok choi, baby kale, cabbage, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, fenugreek leaves, garlic scapes!, green onions, hakurei salad turnips, herbs, kale, lettuce (bibb, red and green romaine, butter, little gem), mint, microgreens, mushrooms, mustard greens, oregano, pac choi, parsnips, radishes (red and french breakfast), rhubarb, oregano, spring onions, salad mix, snap peas, spinach, strawberries, Swiss chard, thyme, and much more!

MILL CITY COOKS

Join Market Chef Beth Jones at 10:30 in our train shed patio for Mill City Cooks, our weekly 30-minute cooking demonstration where professional chefs teach market goers creative, healthy ways to prepare market ingredients! This Saturday Beth will be preparing Choripan- Argentinian Sausage Sandwiches with Chimichurri and Baked Money Beans!

MEET YOUR VEGETABLES

Sample fresh, seasonal veggie recipes created and prepared by Nutrition students at our Meet Your Vegetables booth, located at the top of the Chicago Mall. To kick off the program, our interns will be sampling Spinach Hummus–grab a recipe and a sample and chat with medical professionals from Allina Health, the program’s sponsor.

KIDS' ACTIVITY

Power of Produce–PoP Club!- A seasonal vegetable tasting club for kids ages 5-12. Collect punches on trading cards and receive a $2 token to spend on produce at the market for tasting this Saturday’s vegetable! This season PoP will be at the market’s green Information Booth in the center of the market on the Chicago Mall.

MCFM welcomes back Daddy Squeeze, playing traditional folk accordion music!

COMMUNITY BOOTHS

Surly Brewing Co. Local favorite Surly Brewing will be pouring samples of some of their tastiest brews. Adults 21+, stop by from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and have a taste!

Mighty Axe Hops The owners of local hops farm, Might Axe Hops, located in Ham Lake, MN will be doing a fun educational demonstration about the many varieties of hops. Test your beer skills–do you know the difference between a Cascade and an Apollo?
