Today at Mill City Farmers Market: Girls at the Grill

PRODUCE PLANNER: cabbage, bok choy, garlic scapes, snap peas, Hakurei turnips, radishes, spinach, spring salad mixes, arugula, spring onions, green garlic, head lettuce, herbs, wild greens, sorrel, kale, Swiss chard, rhubarb, WI high tunnel-grown heirloom tomatoes, broccoli and green beans, and more!

WHAT’S NEW:

- Tiny Planet Produce has strawberries, cabbage, bok choy and head lettuce.
- Nog tub Vang has loads of sweet sugar snap peas and loose leaf lettuce. Nothing like a fresh and light summer salad to beat the heat!
- Gorkha Palace’s restaurant is only a hop and a skip away in Nordeast but you can enjoy some of their delicious Himalayan food at the market. Try out their Turkey and Veggie Momo’s-savory dumplings made with ingredients from farmers market produce.
- Maximo Laura is hand weaving in the shed at the market all through July at the ArtAndes booth.

Mill City Cooks, 10:00am:
Girls at the Grill with Chef Heather Hartman and guest chef, Robin Asbell. Take a seat in the Market Cafe and learn about grilling veggies!

Community Booth, all day:
Interested in reducing waste in your community? Learn from the experts! The first class of the Master Recyclers and Composters program will be on-site to answer your questions about waste management and reduction in the Twin Cities. Nick Schnieder will demonstrate how apartment dwellers can also compost in their homes… with worms!!!

Live Music, 11:00am – 1:00pm:
Minneapolis-based Potluck and the Hot Dishes serve up acoustic folk, country and pop, seasoned with delicious harmonies and organic rhythms. Your favorite songs never tasted so good.
