July 6, 2017, Thursday - The New Griots Festival opens at The Guthrie

Time: 7:30pm

Location: Guthrie Theater, Dowling Studio, 818 Second Street

The New Griots Festival

The New Griots Festival aims to highlight, celebrate and advance the careers of emerging Black artists in the Twin Cities. The festival features the work of 10 local emerging artists, free artist-taught community classes and open working sessions. Programming was chosen through a proposal process, and participating artists receive two performances over the two weekends.
