July 4, 2016, Monday - Red, White and Boom Festivities
Celebrate America's Independence Day at Minneapolis Red, White and Boom, a celebration hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. The annual event attracts more than 75,000 people to sites along the downtown Minneapolis riverfront, and features live music, great food, fun activities for the whole family, and the grand finale - fireworks. 10:00pm The Red, White and Boom Celebration closes with a spectacular fireworks display along the Riverfront. The Current will provide a special mix of music at this year’s Red, White and Boom! fireworks hosted by the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board on July 4. Fireworks start at 10 p.m. and will be choreographed to a mix of Prince tunes. Tune in to The Current on your radio or via the MPR Radio app for the perfect music mix to accompany the fireworks! The fireworks display will be shot off from Water Power Park.
