July 3, 2016, Sunday - Paddle and Sing with The Okee Dokee Brothers

Time: 10:00am to 2:00pm

Location: Start/End: East River Flats (View Map)

Hosted by Wilderness Inquiry

We'll all paddle with Joe and Justin of the Okee Dokee Brothers for this musical Mississippi River day trip. Their "Can You Canoe" album, the 2012 Grammy Award winner for Best Children's Album of the Year, was inspired by the Brothers' very own trip down the Mississippi River. This event is your chance to paddle the Mississippi alongside the Okee Dokee Brothers, and enjoy a concert on the shore. Space is limited; don't miss it!

Fee: $45  Register: https://www.wildernessinquiry.org/register/?e=EVT13909

Day trips are an introductory half-day canoe experience. They're a great way for you and your family to experience our community and its wild places from a whole new vantage point.

We provide Voyageur canoes, safety and paddling equipment, experienced guides in every boat, and a shuttle. Please bring weather appropriate clothing and a bag lunch, and, if you would like, a small picnic blanket -- maybe your dancing shoes too. Day trips involve and engage everyone regardless of their age, ability, or previous outdoor experience.

Proceeds from this event will provide scholarships for schools and youth groups to experience outdoor adventures for the first time.
