9 to 10 a.m. – As part of the Market’s mission to grow a healthier community, we’ve partnered with local neighborhood yoga studios to offer free outdoor yoga classes! 9 to 10 a.m. – Enjoy a cup of coffee with your City Council Member! Drop by to get to know Minneapolis’ Ward 3 City Council Member Steve Fletcher in our new “Coffee with Your…” series, where we invite local leaders and community figures to the market’s train shed demo area. Grab a cup of coffee from market vendors The Bolt or Cafe Palmira and ask Council Member Fletcher questions and raise any issues you see in the community. Learn more.

10 to 10:15 a.m. – Learn fundamental cooking skills, including selection, prep and storage for seasonal farmers market vegetables and more in the train shed patio.
 
10:30 to 11 a.m. – Join us for our chef-led cooking class offered every Saturday in the train shed patio, inspiring you to make your #WeeklyMarketMeal. This Saturday, market chef Jenny Breen will be making a seasonal dish using ingredients from the market. Samples and recipe cards are available at each demo—or check out our recipe archive!

Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information! Learn more.

POWER OF PRODUCE

Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information booth every week! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions. Learn more.
