Today at Mill City Farmers Market:  BIKE TO THE MARKET DAY!

Bike to the Market for a holiday weekend stay-cation! Minneapolis bicycle groups and bicycle mechanics will answer all of your questions and provide quick tune-ups at the market! Remember to pick up some local picnic snacks or seasonal veggies and meat for the grill to refuel after your ride!

Produce Planner: Asparagus, arugula, beets, baby bok choi, baby kale, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, cucumbers, dandelion greens, fennel, fenugreek leaves, garlic scapes, green beans, green onions, hakurei salad turnips, herbs, kale, kohlrabi, lavender, lettuce, mint, microgreens, mushrooms, mustard greens, oregano, pac choi, parsnips, radicchio, radishes (red and french breakfast), rhubarb, oregano, potatoes, sour cherries, spring onions, salad mix, snap peas, snow peas, spinach, strawberries, Swiss chard, thyme, zucchini and much more!

Mill City Cooks: Join Market Chef Heather Heartman at 10:30 in our train shed patio for Mill City Cooks, our weekly 30-minute cooking demonstration where professional chefs teach market goers creative, healthy ways to prepare market ingredients!

Kid's Activities:
9:30 & 10AM Story Telling by H. Adams, actor at the Guthrie Theater. This event is located in the Music Tent on the Chicago Mall near the Guthrie stairs.
Power of Produce–PoP Club!- A seasonal vegetable tasting club for kids ages 5-12. Collect punches on trading cards and receive a $2 token to spend on produce at the market for tasting this Saturday’s vegetable! This season PoP will be at the market’s green Information Booth in the center of the market on the Chicago Mall.

Live Music: 11AM – 1PM MCFM welcomes Sabyre Rae playing roots and blues music in the music tent located near the Guthrie stairs.

Community Boothes:
- Minneapolis Bike Coalition: The Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition is a volunteer-driven and member-supported group supporting a more bicycle friendly city. Get information about their summer events and ways to support the cause this Saturday at their booth on the Chicago Expansion.
- Nice Ride: Nice Ride is a non-profit bike sharing system based in Minneapolis Minnesota. Quick, easy and affordable, it’s open to everyone. This Saturday Nice Ride will be on the Chicago Expansion with information about its bikes and a helmet giveaway!
- Move Minneapolis: Driving is not your only choice for getting around. Let Move Minneapolis help you find sustainable options that work for you at their booth on the Chicago Expansion this Saturday! They’ll have information about bike routes and be signing visitors up for ZAP bicycle rewards!
- The Hub Bike Shop: This Saturday the Hub will be on the Chicago Expansion answering bike questions and providing quick tuneups for market visitors! The Hub is the only cooperatively owned bike shop in the Twin Cities, and is focused on providing excellent products and services for all your biking needs.
- Bike Cops for Kids: Since 2009, bike cops in Minneapolis have been encouraging positive interactions with North Minneapolis kids by handing out hundreds of free helmets, bike locks, lights, and even some free bikes. Learn more about the program at their mobile Bike Cops for Kids truck this Saturday.

Art Market: This Saturday’s featured local artists include: Larissa Loden, Fresh Mud Pottery, Crankosaurus Press, Oh Dier, ArtAndes, Sassy Knitwear, and Sally Fritz Clothing. Find them in the train shed near the entrance to the museum!
