Learn how to cook market meals in our free, chef-led cooking demo, Mill City Cooks, offered every Saturday in the train shed patio at 10:30. This Saturday, market chef Heather will be making a seasonal dish. Plus, our kids’ tables at the demo always feature coloring sheets and other engaging activities, giving adults some free time to relax with a cup of coffee and learn tips and easy seasonal recipes from our market chefs.

Guthrie Theater Story Time is the first Saturday of every month at 9:30 and 10 in the green music tent by the Guthrie stairs. Join Guthrie Theater actor H. Adam on the blue mats for 20-minute theatrical readings of our favorite kids’ books!

POWER OF PRODUCE
Power of Produce “PoP“ veggie tasting club is at the information tent every Saturday! Kids ages 3-12 can earn a $2 token to spend on fruits and veggies by tasting a local, seasonal vegetable, as a way to empower kids to make healthy eating decisions.

MEET YOUR VEGETABLES
Nutrition and Public Health students lead our Meet Your Vegetables demonstrations at the top of the Chicago Mall, near Spoonriver restaurant. Discover creative, simple ways to prepare seasonal produce and walk away with a delicious sample and recipe card complete with nutrition information!

LIVE MUSIC
Upriver Cajun Trio will be playing live music from 11 – 1 in the green music tent by the Guthrie stairs.
