Ultimate Intro to Wine: Winespeak

Our most popular class and the best wine fundamentals class out there! ULTIMATE INTRO TO WINE: "WINESPEAK" Presented by Certified Sommelier Jason Kallsen The fundamentals of wine knowledge intimidate many, for we are talking about a subjective subject (smell and taste) while at the same time trying to understand why many give it a numerical score (90 points! Ah! Hedonistic fruit bomb!). Between varietals, regions, countries, aromas, flavors, and about a million different opinions out there, it's no wonder many see the world of wine as a tornado of confusion. No more! Come to the Winespeak class, presented by Jason Kallsen. It is here that you will learn there is no single best 'tasting system' out there. Instead, you will learn how YOU taste and perceive wine, and how an understanding of wine can be influenced to a great degree on the context in which you have it (including a discussion on food and wine pairings).

The core of the class is tasting through six wines while deciphering the key terms that wine professionals use to discuss wine. By learning these nine words and the way they are used in the wine world, you can then describe any wine from anywhere in the world, for the rest of your life! This is the best wine class available to help you learn about this complex subject in a fun, entertaining, and unforgettable way. And, y ou will never again be nervous when somebody hands you a glass of wine and asks "So what do you think of that?" *** Info on your instructor, plus terms and conditions Jason Kallsen is Minnesota's most experienced wine educator, with over two decades of experience teaching the subject. A Certifed Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, plus a Certified Specialist of Wine with the Society of Wine Educators, Jason has taught over 40,000 students since starting in the wine business in the early 1990s. He's appeared in local, national, and international media including pairing wine with classical music on an interationally broadcasted edition of Performance Today. His style is well known to be accurate but unpretentious, detailed yet not overwhelming.
