Time: 10 AM – 11:15 AM

Location: A-Mill Artist Lofts, 315 SE Main Street

Mixtape Yoga: The Best of

One of the first things that happens when music enters our brains is the triggering of pleasure centers that release dopamine, a neurotransmitter that makes you feel happy. This response is so quick, the brain can even anticipate the most pleasurable peaks in familiar music and prime itself with an early dopamine rush.

Mixtape Yoga combines the pleasure triggers of classic sit-on-your-bed-with-the-headphones-on comfort music with the the mindfulness of a vinyasa flow yoga class.

For this Mixtape Yoga, we are going to do something new. Instead of featuring a specific artist, I'm encouraging everyone to rifle through their mental iPod Shuffle, and find 1-3 songs that you think would be perfect for a yoga class. I will then take, at least, one of those songs and put it into our 75-minute yoga class soundtrack.

3 Easy Steps to Register:
1. Figure out if the date works, if not, cancel your previous plans.
2. Contemplate your ideal yoga contemporary song Mt. Rushmore. You don't have to provide song ideas to attend this class.
3. Email/Text said songs to me.
4. Venmo your payment to me, or let me know of another way in which you are thinking of paying (maybe with seashells, or donuts?)
5. Mark it on your calendar, and begin to count the days.
