Music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb and a book by Ebb and Bob Fosse

‘Murder, Greed, Corruption, Exploitation, Adultery, Treachery...all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts’ ... so begins Chicago, one of the most phenomenal musicals of our times. Paint the town red with merry murderesses Roxie Hart, Velma Kelly, their hotshot lawyer, Billy Flynn, and the iconic Fosse choreography.Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune and all that jazz; one show-stopping –song after another; the most astonishing dancing you’ve ever seen; and all the topicality of our celebrity-seeking times. It also provides some of the most sensational roles in all musical theatre. Be razzled and dazzled by Chicago: a true Broadway classic.

Matt Sciple, a 2008 City Pages artist of the year, has directed, performed in or written over 75 plays for theaters across Minnesota, including Gremlin Theatre’s Orson’s Shadow, the 2008 Ivey Award winner for best ensemble.
