Confessions of a Human Sled Dog: Tuesday Talk with John Storkamp

With over 100 marathons and ultramarathons completed, and over two decades of long distance running, backpacking and winter camping experience, "Human Sled-Dog" seems a fitting nickname for acclaimed race director & local runner John Storkamp. Storkamp participated in his first human-powered winter ultramarathon at the Arrowhead 135 in 2006 and became the first ever person to finish the race on foot. He went on to start the race 11 times, finish 8 times and win 3 times. Along the way Storkamp has completed the Tuscobia 150 and Iditarod Trail Invitational 350. Join us for an evening of stories from the winter trails as Storkamp shares his experience with training, gear, race techniques and strategy, in addition to answering audience questions about all things winter running and racing related!
