February 7, 2015, Saturday - A Midsummer's Night Dream Opens at Guthrie Theater

Time: 7:30pm

Location: Wurtele Thrust Stage, Guthrie Theater, 818 Second Street South

A Midsummer Night's Dream
by William Shakespeare
directed by Joe Dowling and David Bolger

In his inaugural season Joe Dowling directed Shakespeare’s romantic comedy A Midsummer Night’s Dream with hilarious show-stopping scenes audiences rave about to this day. A decade later he reimagined the same play for a new generation of theatergoers, a visual feast featuring spectacular flying fairies and bold original music. To complete this remarkable trifecta in his final season, Dowling and David Bolger (choreographer for H.M.S. Pinafore) will direct the beloved play on our signature thrust, interpreting its four cleverly woven stories in a moonlit forest on a midsummer night like you’ve never seen before. Don’t miss this joyously immersive experience suitable for theatergoers 9 to 90.
