Included on the agenda for this Minneapolis Planning Commission public hearing is the following topic:

Kenneth Piper of Tanek Architecture, on behalf of the property owner, Ceresota Funding, LLC., has submitted the following land use applications to allow for the construction of a ninth floor solarium at 155 5th Ave S in the C3A Community Activity Center District, DH Downtown Height Overlay District, DP Downtown Parking Overlay District, and MR Mississippi River Critical Area Overlay Districts:

• Conditional use permit to increase the height in the Downtown Height Overlay District from 6 stories or 84 feet to 9 stories, 115 feet.

• Conditional use permit to allow an assisted living facility.

• Site plan review. The proposed solarium received approval from the Heritage Preservation Commission at its meeting of January 7, 2014.
