February 18, 2015, Wednesday - Work Redux | Mentorship at Red Stag Supperclub
Time: 7:30am to 10:00am
Location: Red Stag Supperclub, 509 1st Avenue Northeast
Work Redux brings individuals across diverse areas of thought leadership to discuss how the workforce, which was historically designed around a male breadwinner, needs to be reexamined to support a new era of increasingly female leadership. We know the future of leadership must look gender-equal. But what microactions can we take to build and redesign the workplace to better support new points of view?
Work Redux inspires questions, sparks discussion, and drives action to challenge cultural assumptions behind the current, dominate work culture. Together we will better understand how we can design the future of work.
For February’s event, we’ll dissect the online featured conversation we started with Kate Barr, Executive Director of Nonprofits Assistance Fund, and build a lively in-person discussion around the role of mentorship in creating and supporting more female leaders. Kate knows first-hand the importance of having a good mentor to guide you as your career develops and she has since stepped up to pay it forward and support other local sector leaders in their journeys. Join us as we welcome Kate along with her mentor, Julia Classen, and mentees, DeAnna Cummings and Dana Nelson, to explore these tricky, messy, and fabulous aspects of mentorship.
We encourage attenedees to also invite a guest—one of their mentors or mentees. Let's make this breakfast more than just a discussion, but also an opportunity to deepen relationships and renew momentum around mentorship in our own lives.
