Writing Your Way Back to the Hearth

In this class, we’ll explore our personal and collective journey to find our way to the hearth, the place we gather for nourishment and company. For centuries the hearth was the center of the house where food was cooked and community gathered to share meals and tell stories. How do we continue to do that today? Through short in class readings and simple prompts, we’ll embark on writing about cooking, dining, and sharing those most intimate moments that define ourselves and our place.
