This annual winter tradition returns with a slew of extraordinary frozen features including the famous illuminated arctic puppets, an ice concert, and so much more! Walk, snowshoe, or ski along candlelit trails on frozen Lake of the Isles – with plenty of hot cocoa stops along the way – right in the heart of Uptown!

The evening’s entertainment includes:
- Ice Music
- Luminary Pyramid
- Ice Spires
- Ice-Cropolis
- Fire Dancers
- Ice Henge
- Iceformance
- Enchanted Forest
- ICEster Island

The frozen festivities don’t stop there! Grownup participants (21+) are also invited down to the Lagoon for a cold one on us at the REI Luminary Party! This party kicks off and heats up with live music from Dr. Mambo's Combo, an outdoor dance party, Surly beer, big boots moving to the beat, and great prizes. Present your Luminary Glowstick and 21+ ID to receive your first Surly beer free! This party is free to all registered Luminary participants and a $10 cover for everyone else.

Join us for the 2020 Luminary Loppet – an evening of enchanting art, spectacular performances, and wintry fun on Lake of the Isles!

This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
