Mr. Arundel has hosted this annual holiday variety program for 14 long years. This edition is likely the most ambitious and talented–from New York City, you have Ms. Ann Klein, snapping off Clapton-esque riffs and singing like the sweetheart of the rodeo. You also have veteran L.A. bluesman Doug MacLeod, bringing the Christmas soul. You have wonderboy Steele Arundel, fresh off his “Cloudhouse” record release, and you have the Willmar Womens Ensemble making the pilgrimage from the windswept prairies to the big city. Finally you have the elder Arundel himself, supported by the notorious “Hammsmen”, often billed as the “most sensitive band in America, on and off the stage”.
