"I am interested in the relationship between my work and the breathing functions of the body, the expansion and contraction of the ribcage, diaphragm, muscles and tendons in creating controlled breath. Also the vibration of air in and out of the body. Sites of emotional tension shape the sound and are felt in the body. I develop my own structures of sound. How do I use sound to locate myself? How am I changed by sung song? How does it work in community when song is shared? It is questions such as these that I consider when making my work."  -Anna Boyer
