Do you play tennis, table tennis or badminton? How about volleyball, basketball or pickleball? Are you an avid shuffleboard, horseshoe or bocce player? Are you a fan of futsal, kato, sepak takraw or bike polo?
If so, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MRPB) is asking for your input for its Court Sports Activity Plan by attending one of two open houses scheduled Thursday, Dec. 13 and Saturday, Dec. 15.
Who: People who play court sports
What: Court Sports Activity Plan Open House
When: Thursday, Dec. 13, 6:30–8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 15, 10–11 a.m.
Where: MPRB Administrative Offices, 2117 West River Road, Minneapolis
Why: The Court Sports Activity Team will review a group of similar activities that use outdoor courts – such as Table Tennis, Pickleball, Badminton, Volleyball (sand, grass, hard), Basketball, Shuffleboard, Futsal and more – and evaluate programs and facilities in the park system that support those activities. This evaluation then informs the development of a plan to provide a sustainable level of service for the activity.
