Time: 9:00pm - 11:00pm $8

Location: Aster Cafe, 125 Main Stree SE

Today: BRIAN JUST BAND + JIM O’NEILL

Brian Just Band
After releasing two contemplative folk EPs as a solo artist, Brian Just knew he needed to put together an eclectic band to reproduce the sounds for the new music he was hearing in his head. Enlisting some of the finest folk and jazz influenced talents in the Minneapolis music scene (including members of the Como Avenue Jug Band, The Brass Kings, Dan Israel and Corpse Reviver) the seven-piece Brian Just Band spent two years writing and recording their second full-length album Enlightenment released in June of 2013.

Jim O’Neill
Opener Jim O’Neill is a Twin Cities musician who plays regularly with local acts Brian Just Band (bassist/producer), Dan Israel (keyboards) and Emot (keyboards). He’ll step out from behind the keyboards to sing and play guitar as he returns to the Aster with bassist Justin Hartke (Sleep Study) & Peter Anderson (The Honeydogs, The Ocean Blue) to present an eclectic set of his originals.
