August 6, 2013, Tuesday - Nicollet-Central Transit Alternatives Open Houses and Comment Period at Central Library

Time: 11:30am - 1:30pm (presentation at 12 noon)

Location:  Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall

Nicollet-Central Transit Alternatives Open Houses and Comment Period

This is one of three public open houses are being held to obtain public input on the detailed evaluation of transit alternatives for the Nicollet-Central corridor and on preferences for a locally preferred alternative. The corridor would cross the Mississippi at either Hennepin or Central. A fourth open house in the East Hennepin area may be scheduled.

Starting Monday, August 5, there will be a 30-day comment period for individuals to submit written comments on the evaluation of alternatives and to participate in an on-line survey about the transit alternatives under consideration. The survey, as well as the technical documentation, will be available after August 5 on the project website and will be available at the open houses.

Comments may be submitted on the project website, by sending an email to czimmer@zanassoc.com, by filling out a comment form at the open houses, or by sending written comments to: Charleen Zimmer, Zan Associates, 105 5th Avenue S – Suite 490, Minneapolis, MN 55401. All written comments received will be summarized and included in project documentation for consideration by the City Council in making a decision on a locally preferred alternative.
