There is one big thing that makes Fringe different from any other event in town: All the shows you'll see at Fringe were selected randomly. Yep. That's right. Each year organizers select the lineup by placing numbered ping-pong balls into a bingo cage and pulling them out, one by one. They believe everyone has the capability to make great art, and -- more importantly -- everyone should get their chance to try. From stage veterans to people who are brand new to theater, Minnesota Fringe is a forum for anyone with a story to tell and provides the support to make producing a show as easy as possible.
Schedule Grid
To use the schedule to its full schedule-y potential, log into your account on fringefestival.org. You can then start favorite-ing and locking in shows to create your own customized itinerary. When you’re ready to head out to the festival, you can easily access your personalized schedule on your phone or print it out at home ahead of time. Either way, you’ll be prepared for whatever a day at the Fringe throws your way.
Advance Ticket Sales
With the switch to day passes, it’s super simple to save a seat at that show you’re just dying to see. There are two options: “Reserve” and “Reserve with a wristband.” For your first show of the day, we’d suggest the “Reserve with a wristband” option to save your seat and purchase your day pass all at once. It'll save you a trip to the box office at the festival, which is pretty snazzy. Then you can use plain old “Reserve” for everything else.
Button Deals
You don’t have to buy a 2016 Fringe button, but you might just want to. Your $4 button gets you awesome deals at a bunch of local bars and restaurants during the 11 days of the festival. You’ll be able to buy 2016 Fringe buttons at Fringe Preview events and at any Fringe venue during the festival.
