Crystal Boyd, an entomologist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will discuss our state's native bees. She will describe bee research, recent pollinator legislation and components of a bee-friendly backyard. Reception 6:30-7 p.m. Lecture begins at 7 p.m. After the presentation, view the Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden Florilegium exhibit in Cargill Hall and watch artists demonstrate botanical painting techniques.
