RISE – 2018 Student Choreography Showcase

RISE: 2018 Student Choreography Showcase was created to give a voice to young choreographers on the rise. The event will honor our next generation of choreographers and dancers and give back to one charity of choice that has had an impact on our dance community. This showcase offers student choreographers ages 14-22 an opportunity to exhibit their work on a professional stage. The dance pieces will be adjudicated by a panel of working choreographers, dance educators and industry professionals. A cash prize will be given to the first, second and third place choreographers.

This year’s charity is Give Kids the World Village. Give Kids the World Village is an 84-acre, nonprofit resort in Central Florida that provides weeklong, cost-free vacations to children with critical illnesses and their families. The goal is to raise $10,000! www.gktw.org. $20 general admission.
