Today at Mill City Farmers Market: Summer Bounty

Produce Planner: At the Market today you will find: turnips, radishes, spinach, spring salad mixes, arugula, garlic, head lettuce, wild greens, rhubarb, carrots, beets, sorrel, fresh herbs, kale, Swiss chard, collards, peppers, sweet onions, red potatoes, brussel sprouts, heirloom tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, tomatillos, broccoli, green beans, zucchini, cucumbers, eggplant, summer squash, cabbage, raspberries, grapes, sweet corn, watermelon, musk melon, and more!

Mill City Cooks, 10 am: Chef Heather Hartman helps us recognize our Hmong farmers with two recipes using traditional Asian vegetables.  Be sure to try Grilled Eggplant with Orange-Miso Glaze and Charred Long Beans with Olives!

Live Music/Entertainment, 11 am to 1 pm: Crankshaft. A sound heavily rooted in blues, country, swing, rock ‘n’ roll and surf.

Book Signing, 11 am to 12:30 pm: Famed local foods cook book author Deborah Madison will be joining us in the kitchen today!

Meet Your Vegetables, 9 am (while supplies last): Meet Fennel! Visit UMN Public Health Nutrition grad students for a healthy taste of this nutrient packed herb & take a recipe home with you!
