August 15, 2019, Thursday - Historic Minneapolis Riverfront Neighborhood Bike Tour with Mill City Museum

Time: 6 – 8 pm

Location: Mill City Museum, 704 S 2nd Street

Historic Minneapolis Riverfront Neighborhood Bike Tour

Go on a guided bicycle tour of the historic Minneapolis riverfront. Learn about St. Anthony Falls, the only waterfall on the Mississippi, and its surroundings, known as Owamni Yomni in Dakota. Explore the historic St. Anthony district, see beautiful residential architecture on Nicollet Island, uncover the history of the sawmilling industry at Boom Island Park, and pedal through the Warehouse District.

This tour covers 5 miles and goes at a leisurely pace. It is suitable for novice bike riders, ages 12 and up. Those without a bike can rent one at a nearby Nice Ride station. Tours begin on the Chicago Mall side of the museum between the Guthrie and Mill City Museum.
