Time: 6:00pm - 10:30pm

Location: Minneapolis Event Center, 212 Second Avenue SE

15th Annual Marcy Arts Gala: A Party to Empower Arts Education

The Marcy Arts Gala unites community members, artists and businesses in support of engaging arts-infused learning for K-8 students at Marcy Open School. Hosted by the Marcy Arts Partnership, a committee of parents and teachers at Marcy Open, the Gala raises funds to bring local artists into Marcy Open for hands-on arts residencies for all students.

Party-goers can bid on silent and live auctions of artwork donated by over 200 fine art, ceramics, photography, jewelry and textile artists. The event has always had generous support from the local arts community, and this year is no exception. We’ll feature collectable artwork by Andy Ducett, Dan Buettner, Rod Massey, Terry Gydesen, Ta-Coumba Aiken, Scott Bean, Aaron Graves, Shannon Joyce, Mike Hoyt, Nick Gerads, Aaron Marx and Marcy Open alum Roger Cummings. In addition to artwork, the silent auction will feature items from 100+ local businesses including gift certificates, event tickets, fine wines and much more. Attendees will enjoy food by local favorites Brasa, Restaurant Alma and Sen Yai Sen Lek as well as wine and beer. Entertainment will include musical and dance performances by Collide Theatrical throughout the evening.

Tickets are $40 before April 9 and $45 at the door. Reservations and information: http://marcy.mpls.k12.mn.us/mapgala.
