Ayurveda II

Drawing on the concepts presented in Ayurveda I, this two-­day workshop delves a bit deeper into specific practices of Ayurveda, yoga’s sister science of holistic self­care, providing an opportunity to enjoy a weekend of personal practice that will enhance your own well being and give you the tools to strengthen your knowledge of yoga’s therapeutic benefits.

Note: This course fulfills part of the requirements for YogaFit 100-hour Ayurvedic Coaching Certificate as well as the YogaFit Healthcare 900-hour teacher training certificate.

What you will learn:
- How specific Ayurvedic practices and yoga poses strengthen and stimulate digestion
- The importance of the six tastes—sweet, sour, salty, bitter, astringent, pungent
- Practices that promote sound sleep and why sleep is important to good digestion and good health
- How to create classes and sequences that strengthen digestion, promote sleep, and rebalance the nervous system
- How to use practices specific to your own constitution to help increase vitality and avoid burnout
