The Oratorio Society of Minnesota is proud to announce a powerful presentation in April. Voices of Light merges Carl Dreyer’s legendary 1928 silent film masterpiece The Passion of Joan of Arc, widely considered to be one of the greatest films ever made, with the live performance of a moving and powerful score by award-winning American composer Richard Einhorn. Voices of LigVoices of Light/The Passion of Joan of Archt is scheduled for Friday, April 15 at the Cathedral of Saint Paul and Friday, April 22 at the Basilica of Saint Mary in Minneapolis.
Voices of Light/The Passion of Joan of Arc is a stunning evening of music and film. The critically acclaimed event has brought sold-out houses to their feet in over 250 performances around the world including Avery Fischer Hall in New York’s Lincoln Center, the Sydney Opera House and, most recently, the Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. It has been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, PRI’s Performance Today and NPR’s All Things Considered.
Voices of Light features the 90-member Oratorio Society Chorus, soloists plus an orchestra.
