3rd Annual 5K Bee Run™

Save the bees and celebrate Earth Day with the Great River Coalition, the National Park Service, and the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board!

Our annual 5K Bee Run - Earth Day Fun Run/Walk/River Cleanup, held at Boom Island Park in Northeast Minneapolis, kicks off with a 5K fun run/walk that meanders through the Mississippi National River and Recreation Area, the country's only national park along the Mississippi River. Following the 5K, join your neighbors and friends for a river cleanup, live music, and other Earth Day festivities.

EVENT INFO:

- Race-day registration opens at 7:30 a.m.
- Fun Run/Walk starts at 9 a.m.
- River Cleanup from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. (bags & gloves provided)


Festivities in the park include live music and entertainment, pollinator-friendly plant sale, raffle prize drawing, and more! 

Individual Fun Run/Walk registration is $35 ($40 on race day). Kids 6 & under free. Prizes for best costumes.

All paid participants will receive a long-sleeved tech shirt plus a bee headband.

Gather up 5 or more individuals and register as a team. ($1 off base entry for each team member.)

Fun Run/Walk packet pick-up will be held at Mill City Running on Friday, April 20, from 3-6 p.m.
