The Music of Duke Ellington

A master of American jazz composition, Duke Ellington broadened the sound of jazz music through his leadership of swing bands, musical composition, and promotion of individual jazz artists. Join MacPhail Teaching Artist Andrea Leap in this music appreciation seminar as we learn about the sounds of jazz and how they were transformed by this Pulitzer Prize winning composer. Collaborator: MacPhail Center for Music.
