THE FALLS OF ST. ANTHONY

Back in the days - the Falls Of St. Anthony was harnessed to create power for milling complex in what is known as the St. Anthony Falls Historic District that made Minneapolis the "Flour Milling Capital of the World" up until the Great Depression of the 1930's. STONE ARCH BRIDGE The 2,100 foot-long Stone Arch Bridge was completed in 1883 and it remains the second oldest bridge still crossing the River.
