Commenting on a Hydro Project in 3 Easy Steps
Monday, September 22, 2014 at 9:56AMFERC's eComment Option is limited to individuals filing up to 6,000 characters of text-only comments on their own behalf. FERC (Federal Energy Regulatory Commission) has final approval of all new hydroelectric projects, as well as changes to existing projects.
**Submit Your Comment in 3 Easy Steps**
Step 1 - Create your comment. Create your comment in a Word or Text file, and have it ready to copy/paste. Your comment doesn't need to be lengthy.
Step 2 - Submit an eComment request to FERC. Follow this link to request access to the FERC Quick Comment system: https://ferconline.ferc.gov/QuickComment.aspx
Step 3 - Post your comment. Remember to use the Docket No. for the project you're commenting on. After you submit an eComment request, you will receive an email from ferc.gov with a link to the comment system.
