October 7, 2017, Saturday - Pints & Pups II at Boom Island Brewing

Pints & Pups

Location: Boom Island Brewery, 2014 Washington Aveue N

Best Day of the Year: Pints & Pups 10/7

The “Dog Days of Summer” are over now, but that’s not stopping us from celebrating canines in every way with another rendition of Pints & Pups at Boom! Saturday, October 7 from 1-6pm we will have four local rescue organizations on site, all raising money and awareness for the dogs we love.

The Rescues for this event are: Secondhand Hounds, Pet Project Rescue, Grey Face Rescue & Retirement, and the Animal Humane Society. All rescues will be vying for your affections and dollars with creative activities and prize giveaways. Secondhand Hounds plan on bringing a Kissing Booth, so stop by, grab a brew and smooch a pooch.

Bree Carey, Pet Photographer will be here to take pet photos to benefit displaced pets from hurricanes Harvey and Irma.

Bree Carey is a vet student, an avid animal lover, and a patron of the arts. She uses her knowledge of animal behavior and visual arts to create beautiful pet portraits.

Available from 3-9 (Bree notes that the best photos are taken between 6pm and 7pm)

Everyone may receive a handful of pet photographs for free. For a longer session including photo adjustment a donation of $10 is appreciated. All money received will go to the Humane Society Emergency Relief fund to help displaced pets from hurricanes Harvey and Irma. Home made dog treats will also be available for purchase, please inform Bree of any allergies your dog may have before your photos are taken as treats will be given out. No photos will be taken after dark.

Stop by later in the evening and enjoy our weekly jazz at 7pm: Boom Room Jazz is free, and will be the best jazz being played in the Twin Cities on 10/7.

FunFare Food truck will be on site to feed all comers.
