Sweetland Orchard's Cider Making Process

Sweetland Orchard, a Mill City Farmers Market vendor, shared their process for making cider in their latest e-newsletter.

First, they sort the apples, cutting out bruises and discarding any apples they wouldn’t eat fresh.  After washing and grinding, the apples are loaded onto racks and pressed.  Once cooled, the bottling begins.

Apples are sorted as they roll down the culling conveyer:

In addition to a variety of apples and other fruit, and apple cider, they serve wickedly delicious donuts at the Market.  YUM!
