Shopping Basket from the June 3 Mill City Farmers Market

New arrivals at the Mill City Farmers Market this week included peas and Sun Gold cherry tomatoes (which are heaven by themselves, but when eaten with half-melted cheese curds - WOW - what a combo! We got one bag each of the Singing Hills Goat Dairy Dill curds and Cosmic Wheel Creamery curds, and if Kappers' had been at the June 3 Market - I would have picked up a bag of their curds, too. Yum! The MCFM 2017 envelope contains a bunch of goodies for renewing our annual Friends of the Market Membership.

June 3, 2017 Mill City Farmers Market All those green items in the basket (kale, spinach, peas, cilantro and green garlic) are going in the Dutch oven with bacon-sauteed Shiitake for a week of office meals. I'm going to add some Horner's Corner maple syrup to the batch for extra flavor - a Chef Jenny Breen trick I learned from watching years of her Mill City Cooks demos. Bacon from Sunshine Harvest Farm, shiitake from Cherry Tree House Mushrooms.
