Shopping Basket from May 4 Mill City Farmers Market

A lot of green in the basket from the May 4 opening day at the 2019 Mill City Farmers Market, including ramps, asparagus, lettuce and spring onions, along with carrots and radishes.

We picked up a super sized muddler from Crookedwood - Jim Benson creates a beautiful line of wooden utensils, boards and other useful items. Ruth from The Abbey Alpacas noticed birds on her farm were using pieces of alpaca wool for nest building, so she came up with a wire box stuffed with alpaca wool to hang in the tree for birds to grab some fibers when needed.

I was very happy to hear Jen's Jars will be a frequent vendor this year. Look for a separate post about them later this week on our Farmers Market blog.
