Mill City Cooks: Summertime Pasta Salad with Market Vegetables and Josephine's "Shake the Bottle" Vinaigrette
In conjunction with the August 8 Youth at the Market theme, Chef Heather Hartman welcomed her daughter Josephine to lead the Mill City Cooks demo. They used pasta from Sunrise Creative Gourmet in the Summertime Pasta Salad with Market Vegetables and Josephine's "Shake the Bottle" Vinaigrette recipe.
Josephine prepared carrots for the salad as fellow budding chef Simone Meyer looked on. During the demo, Simone talked about cooking pasta correctly.

The fun part of making Josephine's "Shake the Bottle" Vinaigrette is the shake, and she shook the dickens out of it.
The finished product was displayed in a dish from art vendor Fresh Mud Pottery.
