LindaLicious and Local D'Lish at Mill City Farmers Market

One of the fresh, local products carried at Local D'Lish is LindaLiciousBiscotti and Sweets.  Linda Canfield uses no preservatives or artificial ingredients, and she doesn't mass produce biscotti - each order is hand prepared in the old world artisan tradition.   I tried the the "Tidbits" sample bag - MMMMM!

Heath Glen's Kitchen at Mill City Farmers Market

I don't know how I missed them before, but this past weekend was the first time I stopped by the Heath Glen's Kitchen stand at the Market.   They are artisans of gourmet preserves, working with small batches (6-10 jars), without artificial preservatives, fillers or artificial coloring.

The array of flavors made it hard to choose, but in the end I opted for the Raspberry Mango Habanero Jam, which we'll enjoy with a little cream cheese to compliment the heat.

Like so many of the items at the Mill City Farmers Market, these jams would be perfect in a gift basket.

Swede Lake Farms and Global Garlic at Mill City Farmers Market

Deanna and Scott of Swede Lake Farms are regulars at the Market.  On a recent visit they offered radishes, eggs, veggie seedlings (with enriched dirt to plant them in) and garlic powder.

In a few weeks there will be garlic - lots of garlic, including garlic scapes.  Global Garlic is named such because their gourmet garlic varieties are from around the globe.   They've been featured in a New York Times article, The Cult of the Cloves.

Stirsby at Mill City Farmers Market

John Danicic and his daughter drew a large crowd to their Stirsby stand at the May 28 Mill City Farmers Market.

A Stirsby is used primarily to stir with - sauces, stir-frys, soups, risottos. John makes each Stirsby individually - no two are exactly alike. They are made from non-first-growth hardwoods and scrap wood from a fine furniture shop.

Stirsby will be back at the market a few more times later in the season, but in the mean time you can purchase online, as well as find out where else to see them in person.
